Hi, my name is Michelle and I research extreme weather events and their impacts on Antarctica.

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the British Antarctic Survey and I run high resolution simulations of polar storms to look at their structure and impacts. My background is in ice sheet surface mass balance, synoptics, and atmospheric rivers. In October 2024 I defended my PhD in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences at the University of Colorado Boulder, on the present and future impacts of atmospheric rivers in Antarctica..
